This is how Jackson reacts when he realizes we are at the Water Park! He gets SO excited that he runs to the front gate!
We've been going to the water park at least a few times a week. I have tons of pictures to share but they are all on one of those disposable water proof cameras, so I have to wait until I get them developed.

Tot School: Chicka Chicka Boom Boom mini-unit
Jackson is 25 months old.
We are finally getting back into the swing of things here. Jackson is obsessed with Chicka Chicka Boom Boom
Of course, we read the story. We also listened to the story on CD.
I printed off a coconut tree (this was a printable in a lapbook that someone made, I can't find my link to it now though) and we put it on our magnetic white board and played with letters. I retold the story this way, named letters for him, spelled some simple words, etc. But every time I said "Chicka Chicka BOOM BOOM" he tore all the letters off as fast as he could!
We had a snack: (chocolate graham crackers, apple slices, Alphabits cereal)
Played with an alphabet puzzle
Colored a picture of a coconut tree and then added letter stickers to it
Pretended to make alphabet soup using some foam letters (but he wasn't that interested)
and Jackson played with his little Magic Writer thingy. He loves it, and I love it because he can scribble all he wants and I don't have to worry about scrubbing crayon marks off my walls!
We also watched Elmo's ABC rap over and over again. He just loves it!

Moms Club Banquet
A while ago I agreed to take on the position of Treasurer for our Moms Club this year. In June, we had our end of year banquet at the Mad Hatter Tea Shop. It was a fun time for all of us, and I swear that place had the best food! We had these chicken salad sandwiches that had peaches, apricots, and mango chutney mixed in (which sounds weird but they were really good), amazing scones, raspberry tea, and tons of little desserts.

Fun Girls' Weekend in Auburn
So, for the last few days of this "30 Days of Me" thing, I'm supposed to give you detailed accounts of my year, month, week, and day. This sounds extremely boring to me, so instead I'm going to give you a somewhat detailed (through pictures and quotes) account of my girls' weekend.
Last weekend I went back to Auburn with my college roommates and a couple of our other friends. It's amazing- 3 years ago we had a bridal shower for me there and we kept saying how we were just a bunch of kids pretending to be adults for awhile. Now we're all "real adults" and we went back to pretend to be college kids for awhile!
Friday we got to Auburn and the first thing we wanted to do was go to our favorite Italian restaurant.
The food was amazing of course, and when we got back we tried stuffing all of our leftovers into the tiny hotel fridge. We got Patrick to help us, because he's an engineer so he should have been able to figure it out. Emily was screaming, "This is a NIGHTMARE!" at the idea of losing that food LOL Then we realized what kinds of things our neighbors must think we were doing, and we got louder and louder with things like...
"Push harder! Can you get it all in? Just stuff it in there!" And my personal favorite, "I just can't help it, Emily has a leaky box!" (Yes, we are 12).
We got a little tipsy at dinner, and more at the hotel, so by the time we decided to go out we had to call a cab. Which was all fine and good, except that Emily was trying to tell the taxi driver how to drive. We also noticed a sign that said "If you get sick in this cab, there will be an $80 clean up fee."
Patrick said, "That's cheap! In Atlanta, it's $200!"
We went out to a few bars and had a lot of fun. At one, a girl peed in her own pants and then slipped and fell in it, then got kicked out. Very entertaining.
For some reason, Kristin kept telling random people (including our cab driver), that we had to get together this weekend b/c I am (basically ruining their fun) going to try to get pregnant when my husband gets back from sea. At one point, I got so sick of this that I screamed, "QUIT TALKING ABOUT MY REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM!"
On our way home, Emily noticed that there were people having sex in the back of the car next to us. (Yes, while it was moving down the highway. It was VERY obvious what they were doing, she saw bare buttcheeks and everything.) So our taxi driver sped up to get a closer look and then started honking at them.
Saturday we went to see Grownups (It was alright) then went out to our favorite Mexican restaurant, where a Mexican man kept blowing kisses at me.
Then we went to this trashy karaoke bar that was in the lobby of Erin's hotel while we wasted time waiting for Supper Club to open. While there, we got hit on by more Mexican men. One bought me a drink, then Kristin, but before we left, he bought ALL of us drinks, even Patrick!
We went to Supper Club to see 17th Floor (a hip hop cover band and one of our favorites from the college days). We took buswreck shots outside, wrote on the Shot Bus, and danced our butts off all night.

June Goal Check-in
Weight lost: I don't even wanna talk about it! I didn't even weigh myself because I know I've gained back a few pounds. Even though I made it to the gym every weekday and almost every Saturday last month, I let myself enjoy my grandmother's southern fried cooking, dinners with friends, and a wild weekend with my old college roomies. I can't even tell you how bloated I feel right now. I'm trying to detox.
